Excluding non-work hours

I have the following in A1:
7/19/2004 3:33:35 PM
and in A2:
7/20/2004 3:11:17 PM.
Is there a way to add up all the hours (8:00AM-5:00PM
worked and exclude the non-work hours (5:01PM-7:59AM).
