expanding formulas when inserting new rows

Excel 97:

I've got 5 columns of data, each of which have formulas
in place to generate the data. However, when I go to the
next line and insert a new row, my formulas are not
extended down to my new row. Any suggestions?

Would these Shortcut keys help?

Shift + Space -> Select Row
Ctrl + Shift + "+" -> Insert Row
Ctrl + "D" -> Fill Down...from above
