Export as Vcards

How do I export my address book contacts as Vcards. I want to transfer them
to the contacts folder on my iPod, which iPod says I can do. By default they
export as a .txt file. Do I just change .txt to .vcd and that will format
them somehow? There must be a different way.

Drag and drop them from the Address Book onto your iPod.
