Exporting Access Table/Query to Excel Spreadsheet

J

James T

I am trying (trying being the operative word) to create a basic macro that
will allow me to export the contents of a table and/or query into a named
range in a pre-existing excel spreadsheet.

It appears that I can export into a blank spreadsheet, or have access create
a new spreadsheet during the export, but alas I fail to get it to export to a
pre-existing spreadsheet with a named range.

Can anyone tell me if this is just impossible (and thus stop me from running
around like a chicken without a head)?...or even better...Possible..?

Not possible with a macro but it is possible with VBA. You may want to
ask this in one of the Access newsgroups such as the Access
Import/Export Data (microsoft.public.access.externaldata) newsgroup.

Please post all follow-up questions to the newsgroup. Requests for
assistance by email can not be acknowledged.
