exporting an MS Project report

It is so obvious that you'd like to export an MS Project report into e.g. an
Excell file that I can not believe it does not exist. But it does not. There
were postings about this before. At this very moment I am in an MSO-course
and the sensei does not know it either ....
What a shame, got to come in the next version!

While it is true that the reports can not be exported - period. My
understanding is that the reports were not a means to an end but rather the
end format for taking statistical information offline to non project users.

Most of the reports can be recreated in project as views and exported using
the save as function or as timephased data into Excel.

I have found this to be adequate in most cases

For the record, it would be more convenient to use the reports as a
mechanism to export information to Excel ...
