Exporting and Importing Custom Field Values

is there a way to Export and Import Custom Field Values to Excel? I know how
to import values from one Project file to another.

This ability would really help because the dialog bos for the custom field
data entry is so cumbersome.

Stretch,
You can export customized spare field values via an export map,
(File/Save As and then select Excel workbook as the file type), but you
cannot export customized spare field values using the "analyze timescale
data in Excel" utility. Why? Because Project does not create timescaled
values for customized spare fields.
