Exporting Contacts By Category

Is there any way to export the contacts out of Entourage into text or excel
file by category? I know it can export the entire address book but I don't
need all of them. Suggestions?

My shareware scripts Export-Import Entourage X will do exactly that.
"Contacts-Groups Export from X" is the particular script for this.

If you have Entourage 2004, use the built in File:Export feature to do this.

What version?

In E2004, there is a selection for category in the export dialogs.
