Exporting Data

Dear All,

I have a perplexing issue!?

Is there any way that an export can be undertaken with excel whereby I
can specify a fixed width export?
Eg I want to be able to export my spreadsheet and specify that all the
columns need to be 50 characters big, therefore, if a cell contains
more than 50 characters, it will be truncated and if it is less than
50 characters, it is padded.

Any suggestions welcome.
