Exporting Encrypted Messages from Outlook Express to Outlook

Dear All,

I have "stuck" using Outlook Express for over 2 years now
because I can't find a upgrade path that will allow me to
export me email messages into Outlook (XP/2002/2000).

I use Digital Certificates (aka "Digital IDs") to
send/receive encrypted email. I have been successful at:
--exporting my emial from Outlook express to Outlook
--exporting my OWN Digital Certificates and those of my
colleagues in my Address book from Outlook Express to
Outlook such that I can now send/receive encrypted emails
in Outlook.

The problem is that I can find NO WAY to make my 2.5 years
of messages that were sent/received using Outlook Express
readable in Outlook. I've exhausted every permutation
of "options" available for exporting from OE ot O, and
still no luck. Searching the Microsoft Knowledge Base
yields only 2 articles on the subject and neither of them
have to do with this.

I've ensured that all encryption settings are setup to use
the same keys and same encryption algorigthms in both OE
and O.

DIDN'T ANYONE THINK AHEAD ABOUT THE UPGRADE PATH WHEN
DESIGNING THESE PRODUCTS? It seems that Outlook Express
is simply incapable of exporting these encrypted emails in
a format that is readable to Outlook.

Can anyone help?

All I am looking to do is:
**Make the encrypted emails that I sent/received over the
past 2.5 years using Outlook Express readable in Outlook.

That's it. It doesn't seem to much to ask. This is my
own, personal intellectual capital. It's Microsoft
supposed to design products that allow you to manage and
enhance your own information? Your own intellectual
capital and property.

Very dissapointed,
-frank
