Exporting/Importing groups between identities in Ent. X

I am using Entourage version 10 with OS 10.3.7. I am trying to export
group listings from one identity to another. I have created these
groups without always creating a contact for each person in the group
first. Meaning, i sometimes just type the email address diractly into
the group when i am adding it, sometimes i use existing contacts from
my address book.
I am able to export and import contacts between identites, but the
groups are left out.
Help much appreciated.

Hey Melofoxx!

I just did this too!

OK what I did was to go to the group I had inported all my contacts
into (without putting them into an address book file for each of them
first - doh!)

I highlighted the first of the group so that a thiin blue highlight
line went across the whole contact email address.

Then I held down the apple key and at the same time as holding down the
apple key I pressed the letter 'a'

This highlighted all of that groups entries.

Then I let go of the apple key and the letter 'a.'

Then I held down the 'ctrl' key and clicked on the highlighted blue
area that had all the highlighted addresses in it.

This brought up a command window with some options in it. 1 of the
options was to 'copy to address book' - there ya go! It took ages to do
around 500 email addresses but its easier than manually doing so.

Thanks for the reply, I tried this, unfortunately, when i get to this
part of the procedure:"Then I held down the 'ctrl' key and clicked on
the highlighted blue
area that had all the highlighted addresses in it... " I get a window
that says HELP, OPEN CONTACT, COPY ADDRESS, and REMOVE ADDRESS, and
only HELP and REMOVE ADRESS are highlighted.
Also, i don't think this solution addresses the issue of Importing the
entire group into a new identity.

I just used some free scripts from Allan Watson's web page and they
worked like a charm. THANKS ALLAN!
