Exporting mail from Entourge back to Office 2003

I have a user who tried a Mac for 8 months and she is not
happy with it. She has moved back to Windows XP and
Office 2003 and I need to get all of her mail from
Entourge back into either Outlook or Outlook express. I
have only seen the option to export contacts not mail.
Anyone have a clue at how I can accomplish this?

Assuming she was using Entourage X or 2004, have her drag each folder
(Inbox, Sent Items, etc.) to the desktop. This will create .mbox files that
she can import.

P.S. I wish her well in the Windows world of viruses (70,000), adware and
spyware. I love Windows because it puts bread on my consulting table, but
when I need to do work, I use my Mac, as I don't get paid for
troubleshooting my own systems.

Thanks so much! She is not looking forward to the
viruses, adware and such, but she had me install the
Norton Suite, (Firewall, adware, antivirus) Im sure I
will be getting more consulting time with her after the
move! LOL After I got her on the mac I didn't hear from
her for 7 months! I bet she will be calling more often
now! But to each his own. It's what the cutomer wants
right!? Thanks for the info!

That is wrong advice. Outlook cannot import .mbox files.

The best way is to drag-copy local messages to folders on an IMAP account
(or Exchange if she has it), and simply access the same messages in Outlook.
Or if the IMAP account will be temporary, drag-copy them back to local
(Personal) folders in Outlook.

If IMAP is really out of the question, then there's a rather complicated
procedure you can use to get those .mbox files over using Eudora Windows as
an intermediary. If you download my Export-Import Entourage X scripts from

MacScripter.net <http://macscripter.net/scriptbuilders/>

To do just mail messages, you do not need to buy the scripts. Read the
"Outlook" section of the ReadMe to see how to use the Eudora method. (If you
also want to transfer contacts, calendar, tasks and/or notes, then she could
buy the scripts: that's what they do.)
