Exporting to MS Project

Hi John,

Thank you for the reply. Sorry, I wasn't sure whether you were a
Microsoft person or not.

Just one last question, where you mention xml data formats, for
example, is the description of the format available with the normal
version of Project (e.g. 3000)? Or do I need to buy a book or
something?

Thanks for the "good luck". I'll probably be writing this in C++
and, even if it fails, it'll help bring my C++ skills back up to
scratch.

Cheers

Richard

BTW - sorry to be dim, but any idea why google groups isn't posting my
reply up as a reply on this forum?

In Project simply save a project with the types of data you want to create
and use the xml file created as your template.

Richard,
Unfortunately many posters think we do work for Microsoft so it's good
to re-affirm the fact that we are all independent.

I don't work with XML so I'm not sure how much information you are
expecting about the format. What Project has is a wizard that leads the
user through the necessary steps to import data from various places. It
assumes the user has adequate knowledge of the data format in the source
document.

I have no idea how Google registers its posts. When I first started with
this newsgroup I posted through Google and it showed the full thread.
However, I now use a separate newsreader application (MT-NewsWatcher).
It is much faster and I can configure it as needed.
