Extended MAPI version?

Trying to setup Outlook 2000 to work with my Word 2003 to insert addresses.
Messed it up after trying the Beta 2007! I get "Must have extended MAPI
version 1.0 or higher" when I try to insert address in Word. I have Outlook
setup as Corporate or Workgroup with services set at Internet e-mail,
Microsoft Mail, Outlook Address Book and Personal Folders. What a mess!
Help please.
