I don't appear to see the External Data Range Properties
options for "If the number of rows in the data range
changes upon refresh: insert cells, insert entire rows,
overwrite..." working. I have data in adjacent cells that
needs to remain in context with external data. When a row
is removed by the query (because the data is excluded for
some reason) I expect the row to be removed (which it is)
and the associated cells in the row not in the data range
to also be deleted...so that the entire rows remaining
all stay together... (Hope this is clear).
Is anyone else noticing this problem? I'm using Excel
2002 on and XP box, not doing anything fancy. Just a
simple query return rows of data. I have placed a column
within the data range for the user to enter new values. I
expect the new values to remain alongside the relevant
rows, even if the query returns less rows.
The External Data Range Properties option as mentioned
above, seems to suggest that entire rows will be deleted,
which should keep everything together, especially if
the "Fill down formulas in columns adjacent to data"
option is also selected.
Any ideas?
