I have been having an issue since our company upgraded to The New Office (2008) Specifically in Entourage. We upgraded, one get out of Rosetta running the apps on our Intel machines and two our Clients couldn't figure out how to save down the files so we could open them. All but my machine are Core 2 Duos. Mine being a Power PC G5.

Our issue is that as we send around contacts to each other to make sure we all have the same contacts. (we do not have an exchange server as of now) Email addresses listed in the contacts sent about 50% of the time have a space inserted in a seemingly random location. (E.g. name@domai n.com)

I have tried to pin point if copying the contacts to the desktop then to an email or just dragging them to an email from our contact list may be to blame but it just doesn't seem to make a difference. It can be avoided by file sharing a contact to everyone but that is just ridiculous to have to do that every time to six people.

Has any one had a similar issue and if you found how to fix it how did you fix it.

I have been having the same issue but have not found a fix. Like you I tried many different methods of attaching the vcf.

I have the same problem. It's not random however. The space always appears on the 22nd character in the email address.

Interestingly it only does it to VCFs exported from Entourage. The only work-around I've found so far is to import the offending VCF file into Apple Address Book, fix the email address, then export it to your desktop as a new VCF, then attach the new VCF to an email and send it out. Voila, no space in the email address. Sounds stupid, and it makes absolutely no sense.... but it works for some reason.

Same problem here - it is always the 22nd character and I have only noticed the mistake in vCards so far.

I have only exchanged vCards with another Mac User who also uses Entourage 2008.

Interestingly enough it seems to only affect the default e-mail address in a list (if the person has more than one listed in their contact form). Even if the default address is further down the list.

I have the same problem! Any idea if the Microsoft folks are developing a fix for this bug? How do we get them to fix it? I have recently switched to Entourage from Outlook (part of the basis on which I bought my Mac), and Entourage does not seem to be nearly the same product that Outlook was.

You can send feedback, but I expect we won't be seeing many fixes for 08.
They are already hard at work on the next version. Your feedback might help
get it added there.
