extract one slide

Someone sent me a PP of pretty pictures. I right clicked all over the
place and didn't see how to bring up the left panel with the
individual slides.

Could it be protected? ctrl-m doesn't work either.

What didn't I do right? Please clue me in.

TIA

The images may be set as the background for the slide vs. an image inserted
onto the slide. In PPT 2003, right click and select SAVE BACKGROUND. Just a
guess.

No such option... do you have a favorite binary group where I can
post a screen shot of what I see? Maybe that will trigger an idea
about what I could do.

TIA for your efforts

What version of PowerPoint are you using?
When you opened the presentation did it report that it was being opened as Read
Only?
Are you in View > Normal?
Have you tried opening PowerPoint and creating a new blank presentation and then
going to Insert > Slides from File and browsing to the file that was sent to
you?

Oh dear. Food and sex in the same thread. We're in for it now.
Remember, you started it. Sooner or later it'll ketchup with you.
:)) Glad you like it!
When you open the presentation, does it jump right into slideshow (ie,
fullscreen) view and quit when it's done? If so, don't doubleclick the file;
instead, start PowerPoint first, then choose File, Open and browse to where
this file is and open it that way.

THANKS! That's exactly what was happening and your tip was absolutely
perfect.
