F6 key or ALT + F4 to close.

I have to admit that it's been years since I've used Office and maybe I'm
missing something that's really obvious but I was wondering if anyone could
tell me why the F6 key or ALT + F4 keys won't close Outlook 2003. I have an
MS Wireless Natural Multimedia keyboard and I can't seem to break myself of
the habit of using one of these two to close my programs.
