Failed to register VB Script DLL - Outlook 2002

Hi,

I know there are plenty of posts about this type of issue but so far
none have offered a solution that will work for me. The all seem to be
for older versions of outlook. So this is the error message I receive
when I try to start up outlook.

Failed to register a VB Script DLL. Reinstall or run Regsvr32.exe
Vbscript.dll to self register. A required action was not successful
due to an unspecified error.

I tried registering it manually, I've tried uninstalling and reinstall
Office entirely. I also renamed the Vbscript.dll in \windows\system32
and then repairing the office installation but nothing has helped. I
use outlook for a lot of different thing but all I really want to do it
retrieve all my old email messages if I can't get outlook to work short
of wiping my machine and reinstalling everything(which currently is not
an option).

Has anyone come across this problem with Outlook 2002? My version is
from the Office XP with Frontpage. Or does anyone have a way I can
import my .pst file into another application? currently Outlook is not
pointing to my .pst file so I can't use Outlook express to easily view
the files. But I'm assuming there must be some application that will
import directly from the .pst file.
Please help if you can as this is very frustrating and I have several
importan email I need to access and respond to.

Thanks
