Fails to start

We're using OSX 10.4.8 and Entourage 11.3.3 on a brand new Intel iMac and my
wife and I each have our own user accounts on the computer. If one of us has
been logged in and has used Entourage and then has logged out, when the
other logs in and tries to open Entourage the icon bounces in the dock, but
the app fails to open at all. We end up having to restart the Mac.

Any one had this issue and found a solution?

Is Office installed in the root Applications folder.
