Fast download music on web page

I have a site that sells a CD. I have wav files to play a "teaser" of the
song, but their download time is too slow. How do you put up a short music
sample (voice and piano+) that will play quickly.

WAV are not suited for use on the Internet. Look into Windows media.

I had the same problem. I had large wav files (ie 1,888 kb) that I was able
to convert to mp3 files (1,888kb wav file converted to mp3 is 149kb). I
found a FREE converter at the site below. It will convert either way. It
doesn't do multiple files so its a bit slow, but it works fine. I can now
put the sounds to the pages without taking forever to upload (for me) and
download (for the viewer) A 149kb mp3 file will give you an approximate18
second sound bite. I have several at about 24-28 seconds, which is more that
enough to get the gist of the song.
