file upload headache

i have created a super simple file upload component for my webpage. when you
try to upload a file, you are prompted for the user name and password for ":"
at http://myurl.com I think this has to do with the destination folder
settings. When I go into folder list view in frontpage 2003 and look at the
properties, the option for "allow annonymous uploads to this folder" option
is greyed out along with all other folder options... My server does support
uploads...

any thoughts?

Unless you can get the host administrator to allow anonymous uploads to that
folder, you're SOL. The network administrator on the host is the final
authority regarding permissions. Apparently, they don't want the authors of
web sites hosted there to be able to change them. But they may be willing
to, if you ask them.

suppose i am allowed upload access from the host, is it possible in fp to
automatically display an uploaded image on a "templated" page that is
predetermined by me? or would this have to be done in php/asp?

That would require server side coding
- not just the FP File Upload component

Search Google for php file upload

| anyone know the php for something like this or know who to talk to?
