Have Office version 7.0 on 1995 CD. Reinstalled PowerPoint and still can not
open files with .PPS extension. I run Windows-ME. Can I upgrade? Or what is
the fix.

If you rename the file and give it an extension of .PPT can you open it? If it
was sent to you by someone who is using a newer version of PowerPoint, you'll
need to ask them to save the file in PowerPoint 95 format and re-send it.

Your version is far too old to upgrade. However, I would strongly recommend
that you consider purchasing a newer version. Office 2003 is the current
version, but if budget is a constraint, you may find a copy of Office 2002 on
eBay. Be sure that it is the full version though, and not an upgrade.
