Filter ignores values!

I didn't know it was possible, but I have encountered several instances
where the filter selection overlooks items in its column. Presently I'm
working in a sorted workbook But when the filter feature is activated and
I'm looking just for a specific item in Col. C, for example, it only shows
three of five possible data selections.

One overlooked item is named 8.00.TUB
too many periods, or is there a TUB function that Excel is mistaking it for?

Advice please. TIA

What criteria are you using in the filter?
What three items are passing through the filter, and what two items are
being filtered out?
