Filter row limit

I am using an auto filter on several columns. Column A
has 1400 rows and most values are unique. When I click on
the filter for Column A, in the drop down that pops up it
only lists the first 1000 values. Is there any way to
list all unique values even if there are more than 1000?

An AutoFilter list will only show 1000 unique values, and there's no way
to increase that limit. There are a few workarounds here:
