Filtering Withing a Protected Worksheet

Does anyone know of a way in which I can enable filtering within a protected worksheet. I have a huge spreadsheet I want to send out to the field but I want to limit the fields that they can modify, but yet I want them to be able to filter the data for easy input of the data.

Really appreciate any suggestions you might have.
