find contact not working

hi,

my outlook 2002 find contact bar used to work. i used it
all the time.

bc of other issues i uninstalled OS, reinstalled (xp
home), then reinstalled my office sw (xp small business).
now find contact tells me "could not find contact" even
though contact exists.

any ideas why?
