Find & Replace

David

Greetings and tia for your help
I have a sheet full of lengthy supproduct formulas and wish to extend them all with a divide by 3 operation (/3)
Can this be done with FIND and REPLACE (ctrl + H), ie, find original string, replace with original string and "/3".

That would work if al the formulas are identical (including any references). If you have any relative references that vary down or across the sheet, you might try changing the display to RC form first.

Another way is to enter 3 in an empty cell, Copy, then select your formulas to be adjusted and Edit / Paste Special selecting Formula and Divide.

Hi,

As replied by Vaughan, you may use the Paste special function. The problem with PAste special is that it does not show the formula i.e. it just shows ther result. You may also use the ASAP Utilities software to accolish this.
