stoopid question...
My gf has a new laptop, her old one crashed-burned-fried. I put her old
drive in a USB enclosure yada yada. The new laptop has Lotus as the
office suite, but she prefers M$, and she has the "old" (very pretty shiny
orange) install discs for Office XP. BUT NOT THE PRODUCT KEY!!!
Oddly, she has 90 pairs of shoes, but can't keep a piece of paper with a
25 digit number on it...
I can read everything from the old drive in the USB enclosure, and can
"start" OFFICE apps on the old drive for about 2 seconds before they shut
down. Obviously I need to reinstall from discs to new drive.
Can I extract the product key (from the old drive) without resorting to
buying something???
Any humor would be greatly appreciated.
