Folder Email Totals

Bit new to this news group thing so forgive me if this goers wrong. I am
looking to somehow put an email total on a upper lever of a folder. So if I
have a folder called 'A' and below it coming off it I have folders 'B' and
'C' with 2 new emails and 3 new emails respectively, I would like the top
hierarchies folder 'A' to tell me I have 5 emails. Make sense?

The reason being is that I then want to put this folder 'A' asshortcut at
the top of the entourage and see when it and its folders below has new
email, rather than adding 'B' and 'C' directly to the shortcuts bar

Hi Andi!

That's a feature I'd like to see myself but it hasn't been implemented
in Entourage.

Please be sure to let Microsoft know you'd like to see this feature in
future versions by using the Help --> Send Feedback mechanism in any
Office application.

You might try looking at the Saved Search (Entourage 2008) or Custom
View (Entourage 2004) feature to create a view combining just those
messages into one view. Then you can read a total of messages there.

Hope this helps!
