Folder List management

Greetings. Is there a way manage the Folder List? For instance, it seems like the "dominant" account is always listed first. If I'm not mistaken, in Entourage 2004, the on-my-computer folders were the ones listed first. I don't seem to be able to specify placement, and likewise see no way to drag them.

Thanks.

I'd like to _hide_ the on-my-computer folders.

Yup. It would definitely be nice to have control over what we see and what we don't. I have one IMAP account that has rules set for every message - either delete it or send it to my Exchange account inbox. Sure would be nice to be able to hide that IMAP account in the Folder List so that it doesn't take up space (a close second-place choice would be to have the option to move that account in the Folder List to the bottom of the list)

That¹s right the default account is listed first if the default account
is not a POP account the Œon my computer¹ hierarchy is listed last.

Thanks for verifying. But do you know if more Folder List customizability is in Entourage's future?

Suggest it to Microsoft. Right now I doubt anyone knows what is in
Entourage's future.

Ahh... it is so frustrating to find this thread. I just switched from Outlook 2007 on PC to a Macbook with Entourage 2008 and I can;t easily move my folders around. I have 615 folders and I really need to be able to move them around. :coolfrown:

First, please keep in mind that these newsgroups are peer-to-peer. There
isn't much we can do. The best way is to send any feedback to Microsoft .

When working in Office, you can use the ³Send Feedback² option under the
Help menu in all of the Office applications.

When I create new folders, Entourage is making them sub-folders of existing folders instead of discreet new folders. I can't find anything to explain or correct this. Can anyone help?

Where Entourage creates the folder depends on what you have highlighted
in the folder list when you tell it to create a new folder. If you have
a folder highlighted, the new folder is created inside of the
highlighted folder.

Also under File in the Menu bar, Select New --> Folder. Notice that if no
folder is selected, subfolder will be grayed out.

You can drag folders, BTW. Just move those subfolder to the top of the
folder list and they become root folders. I like to keep my folders under
the Inbox so I can toggle those closed to make viewing other account easier.
