"Folder List" view lost after each quit of Office 11.3.9 (with OS10.5.1)?

Suggestions, please.

I'm running OS 10.5.1 with Security Update 2007-009 and Office
11.3.9/Entourage 11.3.6

Once I quit Entourage and re-launch, Folder View is lost. I can go back
into View and re-check Folder View, but the moment I quit Entourage, it's
lost again.

I have no other problems with Entourage.

I trashed from User preferences the following, but that does not help.
--Microsoft (folder)
--com.microsoft.Entourage.plist
--com.microsoft.entourage.syncservices.plist
--com.microsoft.OfficeNotifications.plist
--com.microsoft.setupassistant.plist

Respectfully, Norm

I'm not sure I get folder view. Can you explain exactly what you are
setting?

Sorry. I should have repeated the word "List" in the body of the post,
not just used it in the subject line. As I wrote in the subject line, the
problem is that "Folder LIST" view is lost after each quit of Office
11.3.9's Entourage.

Maybe I'm having a bad brain fog, but explain what setting you select to get
your view. Is it in the menu bar or a custom view arrangement?

Can you verify this in a new User? I'm thinking maybe it's a locked file. I
know Leopard has had some permissions issues.

1. Go into the main window of Entourage.
2. In the menubar, click on "View"
3. Go down to "Folders List"
4. If it is not already checked, click on it.

Of course, there is no problem with Entourage/View/Folder List when one logs
into a test account.

That said:
1. How does one fix it?
2. How does one prevent it from happening again?

I sorted by preferences by date then made the changes. Three files were
changed. Try deleting these again and check their permissions.

~/Library/Preferences/Microsoft folder

Entourage Preferences
com.microsoft.Office.prefs.plist
Proofing Tool Preferences

If this doesn't work, then create a new Identity and see if it works there.
If it does then rebuild your database. Some preferences are actually in the
database.
