"Folders on this computer"

Hello

Using Entourage v.X and 2004 on a couple of klients. The problem is
that it takes forever to syncronize all my thousands of messages and
contacts with the Exchange-server. I´m thinking of some kind of
archiving of some of my messages.

What is the difference between storing message in "my account" and in
"Folders on this computer"?

Do "Folders on this computer" only store them locally?

Can I set up a folder for archiving where messages only are stored
locally and not synced with the exchange-server? I dont want to tell
Entourage to "delete from server" to each message.

Yes you have two options store in my account and store Locally

If you store locally all you emails will be moved off the server and
downloaded to your computer.

I recommend Store on my account create a folder called Archive and put all
your old messages in there then you will still be able to find them on any
machine etc

That's what I do I prefer to store my emails on the server as it is more
secure than my computer as computers can crash hard drives can fail and
computers can be stolen servers are like fort knots these things are in
safes - aparently the have masses of storage and everything is backed up and
protected.
