This seems tb a frequently-addressed problem: when VBA code invokes
FollowHyperlink, somebody somewhere issues that security confirmation
dialog.
I've slogged through 4 pages of Google hits, tried a couple of
registry changes per Microsoft, even copied some code that claims to
work around it - all to no avail. I've got Office's Tools | Options |
Macro | Security | Security Level=Low.
Funny thing, though, the dialog does NOT pop when I do a
FollowHyperlink against a .txt file (which is opened by NotePad on my
PC). But it does pop when I go against a ".ArrayDump" file - which is
opened by UltraEdit on my PC.
Makes me think there's a setting somewhere that tells which file types
for FollowHyperlink to open without issuing the dialog. Can't find
it in [Folder Menu] | Tools | Options | View | Advanced Settings.
Anybody know?
