Following applications needs to be closed

A

Andrew

When I try to install office 2007 on XP professional, I get the pop up window
with the heading "The following applications needs to be closed with abort,
retry and ignore options. But it doesn't say any specific application.
Retried several times with all applications closed still the same issue

Any body faced the issue?

Hi Andrew,

Yes, it's an issue they're aware of. The usual approach to try first is to 'ignore' through all of the requests until Office
completes the installation and then restart the PC.

MS Defender and a couple of other running products have been mentioned by some folks as possible programs relating to the
'blankout'.
