Font Appearance in Outlook on email from Entourage

merk

I use Office for Mac 2004. Entourage 2004 configured through an exchange server.

When I send emails out, the recipients, who use Outlook, generally complain that my font size shrinks.

When I view the replies, I see what they mean - typically, the font of their reply to me is normal, but, my original email to them has very small font - something like 7 or 8.

I have my default font size set at 14. And still the appearance of these fonts in Outlook is greatly reduced.

Why does this happen? what can I do to fix it?

Thanks

There is a difference in the way in which both apps handle font sizes;
Entourage uses pixels for font sizes, Outlook uses points. This typically
results in Entourage messages being incorrectly displayed in Outlook and
vice-versa. The Entourage developer team has changed this behaviour in
Entourage 2008, which also makes use of points, so you should no longer see
these size changes if you upgrade to the latest version.

There is not much you can do about this in Entourage 2004; the only solution
would be (and I guess Jolly Roger will praise me for saying this! ;-) ) to
use plain text messages; plain text displays according to the preferences
set in each e-mail client and does not suffer from these size changes.
