font appearance on pull down menu

In entourage 2004, when I use the pull down font menu, the fonts are
all in the same block-type print.... in other words, I can't see what
they look like unless I choose one. Is this the way it is supposed to
work, or am I doing something wrong?

Hi Suecheat -

In the menu bar go to Entourage>Preferences - General, put a check in the
box for 'WYSIWYG font menu'... Be aware, however, that you pay a high
premium for that convenience in terms of additional RAM usage & slower
overall performance (varies based on the number of fonts you have
installed).
