Font display issues - incoming mail

I am experiencing a font problem with incoming mail. A large percentage of
it will not display properly. The fonts are all garbled and look like this:

.... I can only read the message if I then click on the Forward or Reply
button:

All of my Office components are completely up to date. I am running OSX
10.4.5 (but this problem has been happening for a while).

Any ideas what is causing this?

Hi,
quit Entourage, then delete the files "Tasman Browser.cache" and
"com.microsoft.browserfont.cache" in ~/Library/Caches. This should solve
your problem.
