Font lines won't expand when I review presentation on another comp

When I packaged my power point presentation to a CD and played it on another
computer the text lines that were supposed to come in from the left (as
bullets) did'nt expand as in my original. They just sort of bunched up and
looked like they overlapped or piled up on top of each other. This only
happens in two or three of the slides the rest work ok. Is this something to
do with embedding the fonts or because I'm using an older version of power
point.
Has anyone experienced this and could you tell me how to go about correcting
the problem as i want to make a few CDs for family and friends
