Font size in printed emails

Does anyone have any clue about how to reduce the font size of messages
printed in Entourage? This is not an issue with emails I print that
originated from another user; it affects emails I print that are either my
original outgoing posts or those that also contain a thread with one of my
older emails in it.

Is this as simple as setting the default font size in Preferences? I have
"Printed Items" set at Tahoma 9 -- but I can tell you that what my HP
LaserJet 1012 -- and my Epson 2200 -- print is much larger.

Thanks.

I also have the same issue. How does one reduce the font size of the
emails...Surely Craig and I are not the only ones with this issue.

Try this:

Go to File: Page Setup
1. Make sure you have a printer selected in the Format for popup.
2. Make sure Scale is set to 100%.
Even if these setting are correct. Delete and re-enter.

3. If you are running Classic, try quitting Classic and see if the
problem goes away (and only effects USB printers).

Thanks for the tip, but it didn't change anything. However, I did find that
when I set Scaling to 80%, my printed email text approaches the size of that
which is sent from (Windows Outlook) users. The ensuing problem is, of
course, that their text becomes smaller too.

It is, however, still quite acceptable and reduces greatly the number of
emails that will now fit on a single page.

I'm still puzzled as to why Entourage does this when in fact the "Printed
Items" is set properly at, for example, Tahoma 9.

I did all of what was suggested...and still no change...

I went into preferences and changed the size of printed materials to
7pt....still no change in output....

Where do you make the change to get the printed material smaller?

I just copy/paste emails into a text editor so I can set size and reduce
info that I do not need. I realize this does not help if you need an exact
copy of the printed email.
