I recently installed Tiger 10.4.2 and was delighted when all went smoothly
and without a hitch. The last two days, however, I am puzzled by a sudden
change in the font size and quality of the displayed characters, especially
in Entourage (from Mac Office X). I have eliminated all non western
characters (Chinese, Japanese and all other Asian characters), updated the
Office X software to the latest version but still the letters appear tiny,
squiggly, or ragged. Also when I write mail it writes it in the font
selected and looks great. When I edit the text and replace a word, the
replaced word appears in the tiny, squiggly size. And last, the
pointer/cursor icon appears larger than it used to be and its edges look
ragged. Not a pretty picture.
Ii it possible that I have messed up somewhere the preferences of some
application without me knowing it?
I am pretty unhappy and am laboring with this now for two days. Who can
direct me in the right direction?
