Font substitution when using edit story (Pub 2002)

When I go to edit my text using the "edit story in Word" function, and then
return to Publishe, the text using the Headings style retains the typeface
(Garamond) but the text using the Normal style reverts to Times Roman. The
font size is not altered, just the face, and just the text using Normal as
its style. In order to correct the issue, I have to reselect the paragraphs
in question and reselect "normal" as the style (despite the fact that
throughout the process, Publisher tells me that Normal is the style being
used).

How do I keep this from happening?
Thanks,
Rachel

FYI: I've already gone through the process of eliminating the two Norton
conflicts. I'm using a self-created template with self-created styles. My
Pub. 2002 was installed as a part of Office XP, and I'm running Windows XP.
All of the latest Office and Windows updates have been installed.

Just wanted to reply to my own post, since I figured out a workaround:

Since Normal is a style used by the default template, for some reason it
seems to revert to the default font face when switching between Publisher and
Word (when using the Edit Story in Word tool). Note that changing the default
font face in Normal.pub (as per the instructions posted on this dicussion
group) DOES NOT fix this bug. Instead, simply create a new style (I called
mine "Body Text") and use that new style when you would normally use "Normal"
(note that you may want to review your existing styles and change all styles
that list Normal as the Next Style to use YourNewStyleNameHere).

Does anyone know if this bug is fixed in 2003?
