I am puzzled by the following font issue in Entourage (v. 10.1.6): When I
reply to sb. or forward a message in HTML format to sb. I usually put a
short message ahead of the original and/or do some editing where warranted.
For some reason the font used for this additional message or the change
always uses the Geneva font although I have set in preferences the font to
ŒTimes New Roman¹ to be used for HTML messages. Even if I go to the font
setting in the pull down menu as displayed above this text editing window
(i.e. This very message) and try to set it to another font, the program
jumps back to Geneva with the first keystroke.
I am using Mac OS X 10.4.5 on a PowerBook G4 15". (You may notice that the
inserted text Œa PowerBook G4 15²¹ in the last sentence is using the font
ŒLucida Grande¹ taking from the ŒAboutThisMac¹ information window.)
Is this all a design choice by the developers or is my Mac corrupted or am I
paranoid (or all of the above)?
Can anybody help to make some sense out of this?
(BTW, I have eliminated the old preflist, and restarted the Mac to no avail)
