Footer Numbering

Hello,

I have a situation where I need to have footnotes numbered 1 & 2, then
start with number 6-100. I have tried section breaks, etc., but whatever I
do, without "fudging" the starting value to 4, the numbers always come out
wrong. Any asistance in how to properly do this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Mitch:

You've found the way :) You have to fudge it. Or you can use blank
footnotes coloured white. Same diff: there's only one footnotes series for
the entire document. You have to restart with section breaks :)

Cheers

So how, exactly, are you fudging it?

I don't know why you would want this but custom symbols are outside the
normal sequence so if you start the sequence from 6 and give the first two
footnotes custom symbols of 1 and 2 respectively you should get what you
want - I don't know if that counts as fudging.

Hi Tony:

Yep :) That counts as "fudging" :)

So does creating something that "looks" like a footnote, but isn't...

Cheers
