Forcing Folder View Type in browsed folders

Hi,

Quick one here, and not too complicated hopefully.

Is it possible to force the view type for network folders 'browsed in
window' via my company intranet?

My browser is displaying the files in the folders in question as Icons,
rather than what I want, Details (so files can be sorted by 'date
modified').

When accessed through standard windows explorer, the view type for the
folders in questions defaults to my set preference: Details, but this
preference is not being enforced in my browser.

Is there a separate option for IE over Windows Explorer, or can it be done?

Using IE6.0.2900.2180 SP2.
