Form adds spurious html code to page

upgraded FP2000 to 2002. some forms that worked fine
before suddenly have many copies of <basefont size=2>
appear above and below the form zone as I open the page,
then FP hangs.
Reinstalled FP2002, but didn't solve problem.

Has anyone seen or solved this problem before (apart from
returning to FP2000)?

Have not seen this behavior in FP and
TBMK FP never uses the <basefont> tag
