Maybe you could use a hidden field with the page name in it? Haven't tried it but it seems logical...i hope

what is the code to enter?

if i put it like this it might be easier to understand what i have and what
i am trying to do.

each person has a passworded folder,

www.site.com/folder/name1
www.site.com/foldrer/name2
and so on

when they visit the folder it automatically open in the page
www.site.com/folder/index.htm
and displays the folder they first visited, being www.site.com/folder/name1
or name2 in the title of the window.
this is the information that is in my subject line of the email that is sent
to me via the form within the webpage index.htm

how can i get the name of the address they typed in, in the first place.
to be included in the text file that the information is stored in on the
server.

thanks

Add the page name as the subject when you add the email address in the form properties.
mailto:[email protected]?subject=pagename

in the form you can have the IP address the date and time included in the
email, using a variable of some sort.

what i need is the variable for the address that is being viewed or the last
address viewed. being the www.site.com/folder/name1
(see last post for more on this)

Try this:

<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript">
var win = external.menuArguments;
document.all.location.value = win.location.href;

</SCRIPT>

and then use document.write to write Inner.HTML = document.all.location.value; to a
hidden field in the form.
