In Outlook 2003 or 2007, when a Word 2003 or 2007 document is opened from the
email itself, the formatting - line breaks, tables, etc. - change. However,
if the Word attachment is saved (to the Desktop, for example) from the email,
and THEN opened, the formatting in the Word document is correct.
I am seeing this problem regularly at a customer site on several computers
(WinXP Pro/Outlook 2003 or Vista/Outlook 2003), and also on my computer
(Vista Business/Outlook 2007). The customer is a law firm and they receive
large Word attachments with complex formatting. It is not an issue with
..docx. All of the documents are .doc.
Thanks for any ideas you have.
