Why are my customized fields, which I added to the first page of my
message form blank after I sent the form? If I add the same fields to
the second page of a message form they display correctly.
Where is my mistake here??

What did you actually add to the form? A field or a control not bound to a field? Did you edit the read layout in addition to the compose layout?
