Hello
I have a spread sheet in FP2003 using forms. I have price, quantity and total columns that i wish to formulate. Example: price x quantity = total. Does anyone know how to do this? thank you.

Not really FrontPage related, but:
Click the cell that will contain the total.
Press the = sign
Click the cell with the quantity.
Press x
Click the cell with the price.
Press enter.

Thank you for the reply Steve. unfortunately that does not answer my question. The user of the form will enter the values in and then the form will make the calculations. Sorry if I was not clear.

The answer is still the same. You format the "Total" cell as I described even though there are no
values.
You then copy the cell, click and scroll down the column to highlight all of the cells that will
contain totals and then click, Paste > Special and select Formulas from the pop up.

When values are entered into the price and quantity cells the "total" will automatically be
calculated.

Cells don't have to already contain values to assign a formula to another cell.

That works fine for Excel but what about FP2003. I have tried that and it does not work. I have created a form in FP2003, I then have created a table inside of the form. within that table i need to multiply those cells but it does not work like excel. All it does is show the formula i have entered.

Aaaah, OK. then that's not a spreadsheet, it's a submission form.
You will need javascript to accomplish that.

Do a Google search for javascript form calculator, or check out http://www.dynamicdrive.com/
