My Outlook always delets the original message from the
InBox when I reply or forward a message. I have looked in
Help and tried changing settings, but I have not had any
success.

Highly unlikely. The most likely cause is your view is set to "Unread
Messages" instead of "Messages"

Which settings have you tried to change? What version of Outlook do you
have? What is checked in your Reading (or Preview) pane options?
(Tools>Options>Other)

Thanks Brian, but I figured out what was happening. Some
how clicked the sort button to place replied to messages
at the bottom of the Inbox. Resorted according to date
received and all of the "Missing" messages appeared.
